Hello! I am The Magdala. Here you will find bits of my mind, adventures, and a way to connect with fellow creators.

By Rite of Spring

Once again I find myself with that familiar and undeniable itch. It begins to creep its way up my skin, dance with my senses and soak into my bones. My eyes adjust to to burst of colors and scents that wind their way into my bloodstream. Spring is here!

This delightful time of faeries is palpable for anyone with a love for green, fresh and exciting adventures. It promises in its wake to bring joy, dancing and frivolity to the streets and the sheets. I urge anyone who shares this itch to spend even just a few moments having a conversation with the sun and thanking the plants for their perseverance and constant joy.

This is the time for your annual shedding of skins. I use the plural to express that this can happen in many forms over the next few months. Some of you may be feeling stuck and stagnant even with all of this new energy around you. This is not something to be upset about! Rather this is your spirit letting you know that a change is a'coming.

Some people have the desire to clean house and cleanse of any uneeded or unwanted energy. Perhaps there is a corner of your house that is simply being used as a clutter pile? An area that has not seen love or attention? This is an indication that energy needs to be moved around. Lacking inspiration to clean? No problem! There are no wrong ways to do this. Step outside and seek the ground. Feel the pulsing and sway of the earth with the sole/soul of your feet.

Allow yourself in those moments to release pressure of outside demands, take the time to check in with yourself. Have a conversation with you body. Send it positive thoughts and allow it to embrace the newness around it. Ultimately this is a time to reconnect and digest everything you have devoured during the winter months. Allow yourself to expand in all that you've learned, even if you don't feel you did I promise your spirit has plenty of expanding to do! As always, never forget to frolic, play and keep sending those good vibes your own way.
